The NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group Inc. have partnered with the Department of Education, Connected Communities and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mathematics Alliance to coordinate Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) camps for Aboriginal students in regional and remote NSW.
We had 6 of our high school students represent us at a STEM camp earlier in the year. Students reported that the camp was a huge success and encouraged their interest in STEM subjects. Students were given the opportunity to engage with industries and see the practical applications of STEM subjects.
