Walgett Community College, High School Campus (7 - 12) is located 290 kilometres north-west of Dubbo in a remote, rural location, near the junctions of the Barwon and Namoi Rivers on Gamilaroi Country.
The High School operates as part of a Community College that consists of two campuses (P-6 and 7-12).
Facilities at the college include two trade training centres offering courses including hospitality and construction, a new library, Wellbeing Hub and at the heart of the school is our Culture and Language Hub.
Walgett Community College offers academic and cultural programs that value student's identity and culture, focuses on improving student wellbeing and heightened expectations for teacher/student success.
The school plays a significant role in the local community and is supported by the Walgett Local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group and School Reference Group, who work in partnership with the College to ensure better educational outcomes for students.
